Roy Wheeler

		Guestbook Becky Milligan Dollar 2/26/2012 11:30:19 AM My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of sadness. I have many happy memories from the late 1980's and early 90's of Roy and Mary coming to watch Matthew play baseball. We had so much fun, and I truly cherish those memories.
	Mr. Roy Wheeler, age 95, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Wheeler; parents, Grady and Lula Wheeler; brothers, Ralph Wheeler and Robert Wheeler; and sisters, Rosie Barrett, Willie Nell Kilgore and Dean Hill. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Velvie Dollar, Suwanee, GA; brother, Ray Wheeler, Buford, GA; sisters-in-law, Edna Wheeler, Buford, GA and Jane Wheeler, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Wheeler was born August 17, 1916 in Gwinnett County, GA and was a resident of Lake Springs Assisted Living in Buford, GA for the past five years. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, Buford Senior Citizens, and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Auburn, GA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Everett officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Flowers accepted or memorial donations may be made to Seasons Hospice, 8560 Holcomb Bridge Road, Suite 110, Alpharetta, GA 30022 in memory of Roy Wheeler.
