	Earlene Brown Kennedy of Buford and Sugar Hill, Georgia passed away on June 8, 2012. She was the daughter of the former George Jack and Lula Elizabeth Brown of Sugar Hill, GA. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Joe Kennedy, her daughter Dr. Cyndie Kennedy-Townsend, her son-in-law, Doug Townsend, her granddaughter, Kennedy Lea Townsend, her sister, Geneva Koopmans in Sarasota, Florida, and a niece, Sandra Reed of Buford (who was more like a sister) and whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will join her siblings who have gone on before her; her twin brother Earl Brown, her brother, Clifton H. “Bud” Brown, and her sisters; Audean Jackson and Ovalene “Mary” Secord. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her working career included; secretary to bank presidents and the church secretary at Buford Methodist Church. She was a member of the West Buford Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. Funeral service will be on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Reed officiating. Interment will follow at New Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
