	Mrs. Dorothy Nichols, age 82, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. She is survived by her son, Avery Bryan “Chuck” James, Gainesville, GA; granddaughter, Laurel Kaitlyn James; sister, Bernice Kennimore, Cumming, GA; brother, Emmett Day, Cumming, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Nichols was born April 10, 1929 in Cumming, GA. She was a graduate of Forsyth County High School in Cumming, GA and was a 1954 graduate of Crawford Long School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Gwinnett Hospital System and worked at Buford General Hospital on the 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rose Johnson-Mackey, R.N. and Margaret Abbott, R.N. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
