Diana & Dick Guttowsky 9/18/2012 10:50:56 AM Our smypathies on the passing of Jack. He was a great guy and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Jack was my english teacher and football and baseball coach at Carrollton High. We had a lot of fun and many great memories I'll always cherish. I'm so glad we had a chance to see and visit with Jack a little the winter of 2010 while we were visiting Jim and Jan, in Florida. He is with his Lord now and no more suffering and pain. May God ease your pain as you move on in life, and look forward to the day when we will all be reunited in Heaven. God be with you Nancy. Take care. The Guttowsky's Jim & Jan Kubiak 9/18/2012 11:03:25 AM My hero, my role model, my best friend. Rest in peace, bro. Fred & Kathy Bailey 9/18/2012 11:40:31 AM Nancy - Kathy & I were so very sorry to hear about Jack's passing. He was a great guy and we will miss him very much. Fred & Kathy Bailey Carol and Bob Love 9/18/2012 12:13:08 PM Nancy, Brian, Jack and family: we are so saddened to hear of Jack's passing. He was one of the warmest, funniest, smartest and most personable men we have ever met. We considered him a good friend and he made our January trips so much better. He was the pirate patriarch and will sorely be missed by all of us. Carol and Bob Love 9/18/2012 12:20:17 PM I did not get to finish before it was sent. Bob always considered Jack one of his best friends from the Pirate crew, as they understoood each other so well on so many issues. Heaven is a little brighter and the saints are smiling more, with Jack among them. We love you, Nancy and know we loved Jack too, and will miss him too. See you in January. Carol and Bob Chuck Lindsey 9/18/2012 12:26:13 PM I remember Jack well from our years at Pirate's Cove Manager meetings. Jack--seemingly gruff but a personable lover of people and life--God bless. Myra Benefield 9/18/2012 12:37:07 PM Dear Kubiak Family, I have the pleasure of knowing John & Brian, sons, and have met the beautiful daughter. Also I have listened as the sons shared their memories and love of their father. Mr. John and Mrs Nancy must be wonderful and loving parents because it is so obvious in their children. You all have done much more during the time of passing than most could have the stamina to do. Being there with him so lovingly so much of the time will give you comfort of his knowing your love for him. I know you will miss him but hold tight to God and each other and time will heal but never erase those sweet precious memories. I am praying for you all during this loss. Please let me know if I can do anything for anyone of you. Love Myra Benefield Pirate Bob 9/18/2012 12:53:12 PM A big hole has been made in the Pirate's Cove pot of gold, of which you were one of its founders. You were always so special to me, and I always looked forward to seeing you each year and discussing the problems of the world. I can always remember the early years when we would have a few brews, and we certainly acted like jolly pirates even though we were 20 years older than the rookie pirates. Ted would always say to me what a great friend you were to everyone because you were a person who always cared so much about eyeryone else. I will miss you, Jack, and I will always remember what a great relationship we had that was very special. The only thing I will promise you is that I will buy Nancy a piece of jewelry; one, Nancy, not five, on our Pirate Cove trips. Jack, the last words you said to me were, "I love you." Captain Bob Sue Visser 9/18/2012 1:25:25 PM Dear Nancy, Paul and I are so sorry for your loss, and send our deepest sympathy. Thinking of you. Love Sue & Paul Visser Noreen Otto 9/18/2012 6:10:21 PM Dear Nancy, Bill and I would like to express our deepest sympathy and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time. Love, Bill & Noreen Otto (Winnisquam, NH) Bill "Mick" and Darlene Mantle 9/18/2012 6:15:04 PM Words to express our feelings about the loss of our closest friend are difficult to come up with, to say the least. Jack, Nancy and all the kids go back many, many years, into the 50's, and we wouldn't trade those for anything. Our relationship is more than friendship, it is love for each other. We grieve for Nancy and her children/grandchildren but fully recognize that Jack is in a better, peaceful place....a place he prepared in his mind for many years. The memories of baseball, teaching and raising children together, working, playing, laughing and crying together for well over 50 years will never leave our minds. Nancy, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this tough time and praise God for the wonderful times you and Jack had together, for the wonderful family you have, and the peace Jack is now able to experience. We love you and always will.....you can always count on Darlene and I. Florence Meitz 9/18/2012 7:18:09 PM Dear Nancy, Brian and family, My Deepest sympathy is with you at this time of great loss.
