Benjamin David Deardorff

Benjamin David Deardorff, age 20, of Suwanee, GA passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Cecil Spradling and uncle, Andrew Spradling. Mr. Deardorff is survived by his mother, Amanda and Paul Dunlop, Suwanee, GA; sisters, Sophia Dunlop and Liliah Dunlop; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Debbie Spradling, Roanoke, VA; paternal grandmother, Margaret Dunlop, England; great grandmothers, Elsie Spradling and Janet Cochran; aunt, Robyn Phillips; uncles Daniel (Erin) Spradling; cousins, Chase Spradling, Evan Spradling, Lucas Seay and Rucker Seay, and numerous other relatives and friends. Ben was born August 29, 1998 in Salem, VA and was a 2017 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. If Ben ever said you owed him money, you were important to him. It was his way of telling you he cared. Diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome Benjamin defined 'Special', and not in the way most would think. Benjamin was genuine and did not see flaws in anyone. With all he was, he loved his family, friends and could not wait to see his ADAPT Team members each day. Ben lived for his family and his nightly video or pool game challenges with his best friend he called Dad, Paul. A Sunday bike ride with his sisters who were his everything was non negotiable. Rain or Shine. Benjamin loved to "pay it forward" with his mom he laughingly called "Sugar Plum" to get a reaction. This void and loss is something i as his mother and assigned protector can't understand but I know I speak for Benjamin when I say he would want us to love each other with all we have, don't judge others because we all hurt the same. If he ever touched your life please take the money he jokingly assigned you as a debt, and pay it forward. Most importantly hug your loved ones tightly. It just takes one blink of an eye. Until we meet again little guy please know how incredibly loved you are. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the family home in Suwanee. A memorial celebration in Virginia will be held at a later date.
