Beverly Burton Struble

Beverly Burton Struble, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026 in Buford, Ga. Born in Atlanta on September 27, 1937, Beverly lived a life filled with dedication to family and friends, meaningful work and a variety of passions that filled her days. Beverly was a graduate of Rabun Gap Nacoochee School. Then studied briefly at the High Museum of Art. Eager to start a career, she quickly found a job with the State of Georgia, as an Executive Assistant within the Department of Industry and Trade. And then later as a Medical transcriptionist for an Orthopedic Surgeon's practice. Beverly is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Ashley Struble and Julie Elaine Overton; her grandson Charles Aitchison; her great granddaughter Charlotte Aitchison; her sister Judy Burton Lummus; and her step daughters Debra Struble Seabolt and Cathy Struble Fuller. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Henry David Struble, her daughter Kimberly Struble Hunt; her parents George Augustus Burton and Alvera Christine Burton (Kitty); her brothers-in-law Carey Alan Crespo and Johnny Kenneth Lummus; her niece Connie Allison Cruse; and her long-time faithful partner of 19 years Howard Jess Chaliff. Beverly's life was enriched by hobbies that showcased her creativity and zest for life. She loved the Atlanta Braves and Falcons, dancing to big band music, sewing clothes and making costumes, gardening, travel, reading the bible, writing poetry for loved ones and cheering during the Summer Olympic games. Beverly also had a talent for bringing people together through luncheons and themed parties that created lasting memories. Her dog Paisley gave her much joy for the last 4 years and was a cherished companion til her final days. Her faith was central to her life. Beverly was an active member of White Oak Hills Baptist Church and later Smoke Rise Baptist Church. She also volunteered with the Salvation Army and the American Cancer Society. Beverly will be remembered for her warmth, creativity and generosity. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 2nd. at Flanigan Funeral Home. 4400 South Lee Street, Buford, Ga. 30518. Visitation will be from Noon - 1:00. Chapel Service from 1:00 - 2:00. Then following the Service is the Procession to Snellville Historic Cemetery with police escort provided.
