Devada "Rose" Doyal

Rose Doyal, a vibrant soul and a fierce warrior who commanded every room she entered, passed away on April 3, 2026. She was 41 years old. Born with a spirit that could not be dimmed, Rose’s life was defined by her immense resilience. After the loss of her mother at just 13, she faced unimaginable hardships and spent years navigating the world with a courage born of survival. Despite the shadows of her past, she grew into a woman of tremendous beauty and unapologetic, unshakable confidence. Rose didn't just walk into a room; she owned it. Possessing a magnetic and bold personality, she was the undisputed "spark" and the life of every gathering, living out loud and drawing people in with her fierce, outgoing energy. A creative heart inspired by the world around her, Rose had an eye for the exquisite—whether it was her excellent taste in jewelry and clothing or the delicious, exotic dishes she loved to cook. She was a fearless traveler and had a soft spot for animals, especially the cats she adored throughout her life. In her final act of boldness and love for humanity, Rose was an organ donor, providing the gift of life and hope to others in need. Above all else, Rose’s heart belonged to her daughter, Nadia Shohoudy. Though life’s struggles created a painful distance between them, her love for Nadia was her North Star—a fierce, devoted, and endless love that she carried with her until her very last moment. While her heart was broken by their time apart, her family finds comfort in knowing she is finally at peace, free from the burdens of this world. Rose is survived by her daughter, Nadia Shohoudy; her devoted sister and protector, Amanda Doyal, and brother-in-law Nicholas Mccaulla; her cherished nephews, Steffen Doyal and Korben Mccaulla; her cousin, Renee Doyal; and her aunt, Karen Doyal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie Doyal and Stephen Wayne Doyal; her brother, Ian Smith; her aunt, Denise Doyal; and her grandparents, Muriel and Thomas Doyal. A celebration of Rose’s life is currently being planned, and details will be shared once a time and day are determined.
