Doris Ann Kirouac

Doris Ann Faddis Kirouac, 82, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and a longtime resident of Duluth, Georgia, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2025, with her devoted husband, Lou Kirouac, by her side and surrounded by the love of their family and friends. Born in Knoxville on April 15, 1943, to Herman Riley Faddis and Mary Estelle Phillips Faddis, Doris was the second youngest of eight children and one of seven girls. Their home was full of life and laughter, a place where faith and family always came first. These values became the foundation of everything she did. Doris embraced life, loved people, and led with love. She was admired for her charm as a beauty queen, appreciated for her warmth as a Delta Air Lines stewardess, respected for her professionalism in banking, and valued for her service as a Duluth City Councilor. Yet, the roles she treasured most were those within her family: wife, mother, sister, daughter, and Mémère. She was married to her best friend for over 56 years. During that time, Doris and Lou strengthened the foundation of faith and love that they both shared. They poured their hearts into raising their two sons, Kirk and Brandon, while cherishing the memory of their beloved son, Kevin, in everything they did. Their steady love extended to their grandchildren, Cole (19), Kennedy (16), Emmalynn (13), and Annakate (11). Each of them knew how deeply they were loved and supported. The strength, kindness, and faith Doris and Lou passed down continue to live on through their family. It remains strong today through Lou and will carry on for generations to come. Doris is survived by her husband, Lou Kirouac; her sons, Kirk Kirouac and Brandon Kirouac; her grandchildren; her sister, Linda Faddis Brown; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, brother, sisters, son Kevin, and many loved ones who went before her. Her life will be joyfully celebrated as friends and family share heartfelt stories, exchange laughter, and relive precious memories. In lieu of a formal service and flowers, the family welcomes donations to two causes that reflect the most tender parts of her journey: the March of Dimes, in memory of her son Kevin, whose brief but meaningful life reminded them of the preciousness of every moment, and CURE Childhood Cancer, in honor of her granddaughter Kennedy, a childhood leukemia survivor whose strength serves as a daily reminder never to take life for granted. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21 No services are planned at this time.
