Frank Williams

Frank Williams, age 86, of Alto, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by son, Rex Williams; parents, Linzy and Runnette King Williams; and sisters, Helen Williams and Linda Jean Williams Jones. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Ruth Jones Williams of Alto; daughters, Robin Williams Puckett and husband Kent of Alto, Regina Williams Davis of Homer, GA; daughter-in-law, Sherry Vanderford Williams of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Korey and Dawn Puckett, Amber and Brian Arnold, Lindsey Crenshaw, Tiffani Feagins, Brittani and Rohen Tuttle; great grandchildren, Ella Arnold, Ian Arnold, Landon Puckett, Jaydon House, Waylon Bolton, Anna Crenshaw, Hudson Schmidt, Kolsen Tuttle; sister, Gail (Don) Scarborough of Oakwood, GA; brother, Kenneth (Dianne) Williams of Flowery Branch, GA; sisters-in-law, Runnette Jones Mathis of Buford, GA, Rachael (Gene) Graham of Buford, Rilla Jones Bell of Gainesville, GA, Joyce Jones of Braselton, GA; brother-in-law, Ryman (Alicia) Jones of Richmond, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Williams was born on October 30, 1938 in Flowery Branch, GA, and received his education at Flowery Branch High School. He was the retired owner of twenty-five years of Williams Concrete and Finishing, and he had also worked for two and a half years at T S B Loss Controls in Rome, GA. He later bought and sold antique cars, which he loved very much in addition to being an avid golfer. Mr. Williams was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford. He and his wife Ruth were members of Hardees Breakfast Club and the Birthday Club, which they enjoyed very much. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, and great grandfather, and was loved by so many. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Williams and Dr. James Dee Dillin officiating. Interment will follow at the Friendship Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
