Jacqueline Felicia Montes-Chinnery

Jacqueline Felicia Montes-Chinnery was born on June 26, 1962, in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. She was the oldest daughter of Guinivere Brown-Farrell and the late Juan Montes, Jr. During her early childhood years, she attended Lockhart Elementary School, Seventh-Day Adventist School, Wayne Aspinal Junior High School, and Charlotte Amalie High School. Jackie, as she was affectionately known, was a caring, devoted loving wife, and mother of two children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In October 2007, she married Roberto Chinnery. In 2008, Jackie and Roberto, relocated to Atlanta, GA, which they made their home for the last 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and speaking daily to her mom. She was very humble and grateful for anything anyone would do for her. Over the years Jackie’s medical health impacted her quality of life. She fought a good fight. On Saturday, January 14, 2023, with her family by her side, Jackie went home to be with the Lord. We loved her very much and she will forever live on in our hearts. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 p.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.’’ John 11:25-26 We are learning how to live In a new way Since that day You were taken away. We are learning how to live With the things left unsaid Knowing we got to say them With every tear that we shed. We are learning how to live By embracing the pain Knowing that you live on Through the memories that remain. We are learning how to live Knowing we will never again see your face And we have peace knowing You’re in a better place. We are learning how to live Knowing you’re in God’s care It gives us the strength to move on And makes the pain much easier to bear.
