Jenny Lynn Duncan

Jenny Lynn Duncan, age 67, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on July 3, 2026. Born on February 6, 1959, Jenny was raised in Buford, Georgia, where she graduated from Buford High School and built the foundation of a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, Barney Allen Duncan and Cammie Ruth Davis Duncan; sister, Janet Lewis, brother-in-law, Jim Dinnan; and beloved nephews, Adam Duncan and Matthew Dinnan. She is lovingly survived by her sister, Paula Jo Dinnan of Cleveland; her brothers, Dennis Duncan (Janet) of Buford, Deryl Duncan (Brenda) of Lawrenceville, Wendell Duncan of Elberton, Rick Duncan of Cleveland, Max Duncan (Katie) of Buford, and brother-in-law Gary Lewis of Flowery Branch. She also leaves behind six nieces, four nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering love and devotion. To know Jenny was to know someone whose greatest joy came from loving others. She adored her nieces and nephews and played an important role in helping raise many of them. She also cared for countless children through the years, treating each one as if they were her own. To those children and the families, she was much more than a babysitter—she was a source of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. Jenny was a member of Chattahoochee Christian Church in Helen, where her faith was evident in the way she loved people. Her church family and treasured friends held a special place in her heart, and she cherished her time with them. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, eating salted watermelon, homemade ice cream, Rice Krispy Treats, and fish sandwiches. She could often be found working a word search, playing card games—especially UNO—or watching her favorite episodes of I Love Lucy. Jenny loved swimming pools, vacations, gospel music, photographs, talking on the telephone, and, above all, spending time with babies and the people she loved. Jenny also had a wonderful sense of humor and a few unforgettable opinions. She famously disliked chocolate and never hid her feelings about Willie Nelson, giving those who knew her plenty of reasons to smile whenever either was mentioned. One of the traditions her family will treasure forever was her birthday gift of five dollars to every niece and nephew. But the money always came with one important question: “Who do you love?” There was only one acceptable answer—“Jenny!” It became a cherished family tradition, reminding everyone that Aunt Jenny believed she should always be your favorite. In truth, for many, she was.Jenny’s legacy is not measured by the things she owned, but by the lives she touched. She gave freely of her time, her laughter, her kindness, and her heart. Her love was constant, her faith was steadfast, and her presence made every gathering brighter. Though her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served. Her memory will continue to live on in every family story, every game of UNO, every birthday five-dollar bill, and every heart that was fortunate enough to be loved by Jenny. A graveside service will be held for family and friends at Christ Church Phoenix Community, formerly Sardis United Methodist Church at 2662 Thompson Mill Road in Buford on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 11am officiated by Rev. Bill Walters.
