Lari Bachman Webster

SUGAR HILL, Ga. - Lari Jean (Bachman) Webster, 75, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, March 22, 2019, at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, Ga., after a long battle with cancer. She fought valiantly until the end and was surrounded by the love of her life, Gary and her adoring daughters. We are confident that she is now fully healed and stands face to face and hand in hand with Jesus. She shared her birthday with Jesus and while her faith was subtle in her words, it was unquestionable in her soul. Lari was born Dec. 25, 1943, to Clark H. Bachman and Constance (Whitesell) Bachman in Hopkinsville, Ky. She was the first of four children, and she spent most of her life in Georgia, including Albany, Ga., and the Atlanta area. She was a long time resident of Sugar Hill Georgia. She spent many years in the residential property management business and later retired from Sprint Communications. She was married to her soulmate Gary Lewis Webster for 44 years. In addition to her husband, Lari is survived by her three children, Audrey Stever (Mark) of Woodstock, Ga.; Paige Klein (Ty) of Lexington, Ga.; and Cheryl Rice (Chris) of Braselton, Ga. Grandchildren include Kyle Stever (Melissa) of Woodstock, Ga, Bart Stever (Alicia) of Woodstock, Ga.; Shane Stever (Hicham) of Nashville, Tenn.; Alexa Houck (Jack) of Roswell, Ga.; Mary Katherine Cummings of Lexington, Ga.; Chloe Elizabeth Rice and Christopher Cole Rice of Braselton, Ga. She also had two great-grand daughters Sloane Stever and Eleanor James Houck. Lari is also survived by three siblings, Lynn Bachman Kvalheim, of Sugar Hill, Ga, Bart Bachman of Center Conway, N.H., and Jan Bachman Daggett of Stoughton, WI. She would certainly want it mentioned that she loved all animals fiercely and her "fur babies" Baker and Cissy never left her side during her extended illness. She was predeceased by her parents and by grandson James Quinton Lumpkin. Lari's love of music was contageous. In her youth, she was considered a "child prodigy" flute player. Her sister Lynn recalls that their dad put a piccolo in Lari's hands before she was big enough to hold a flute properly. At the age of ten, she played Mozart's flute concerto with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. She was a fan of all music; from Motown to Fleetwood Mac, Sonny and Cher to Mozart. Family gatherings were her absolute favorite and spent with the entire family gathered around the house eating, dancing, playing cards and celebrating our many blessings. Lari was a sassy, classy lady and never left the house without her lipstick and her overstuffed purse. Her big smile and sparkling eyes will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
