Lyman Kenneth Williams, age 85, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linzy and Runette King Williams; brothers, Frank Williams, James Lamar Williams; sisters, Helen Williams, Linda Williams Jones. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dianne Riley Williams of Flowery Branch, GA; daughter, Lisa Williams (Matt) Beshers of Braselton, GA; son, Scott (Lynn) Williams of Braselton, GA; grandchildren, Taylor (Tyler) Wesson of Buford, GA, Kendyl (Chandler) Weger of Burlington, NC, Katelyn Williams of Athens, GA, Makayla Williams of Braselton, GA; sister, Gail (Don) Scarborough of Gainesville, GA; sister-in-law, Ruth Jones Williams of Alto, GA; brothers-in-law, Ron (Pat) Riley of Auburn, GA, Roger (Deborah) Riley of Gainesville, GA, Dale (Hanna) Jones of Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Williams was born February 9, 1941 in Flowery Branch, GA. He was a 1959 graduate of South Hall High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Williams retired from Williams Concrete Company, Buford, GA. He also retired, earlier, from Georgia Boot. Mr. Williams was a Mason and a member of Flowery Branch Masonic Lodge 212 FAM, where he received his 50-year pin and apron. He was a member of Friendship Community Baptist Church. Mr. Williams enjoyed bowling, golfing, putting puzzles together, and going to the mountains. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and going to all of their sports events. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Mr. Dale Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Community Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA, with a Masonic Graveside Service with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. An additional time to receive friends will be at the funeral home on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of N.E. Georgia or your favorite charity In Memory of Lyman Kenneth Williams.
