Otto González

Otto González was born in Auxilio Mutuo hospital on May 15, 1964 and grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He graduated High School at Academia Sagrado Corazón in Santurce in 1982. He attended University of New Orleans for his freshman year in 82-83, then transferred to Loyola University for his sophomore year 83-84. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the Inter-American University in Puerto Rico. He went on to be self-employed as an IT contractor for government agencies in Puerto Rico. Then was offered an IT position for Gwinnett County, where he worked for ten years. He was currently employed with Southern Company as a system analyst in their IT Department. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Felicia Stubbs, step-daughter Jaclyn A. Rodriguez, step-grandson Mateo R. Jungers, sister Ileana G. Sepúlveda, brother in law Raymond Sepúlveda, 3 nieces: Diana, Adriana, and Julia Sepúlveda, Mother-in-law Lynda Thomas Haight, sister-in-law Karen Stubbs and step-nephew’s Robert and Philip Burzynski. Being from Puerto Rico, Otto loved being near or in the ocean. He enjoyed a variety of sports and hobbies, he was an avid wind and kite surfer and rode his Harley into the mountains whenever he wasn’t on the water. Once he moved to Buford, he found a passion in making old things new and restored vintage dirt bikes. He always needed a project and could do, fix or build anything. Otto had a brilliant mind, if he didn’t already know how to do something, he would study and research it and get it done. He was a great animal lover and had various animals through the years. He leaves three cats and an African gray parrot named Lila that learned to say “Walk with the King, hallelujah”. Otto loved the Lord and accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1992. If he could speak to us right now he would say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
