Patricia "Pat" Bogen

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 We are heartbroken to announce that Patricia "Pat" Bogen, age 75, peacefully entered the loving arms of Jesus on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her family after a courageous journey with cancer. Pat was born on September 17, 1950, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Helen and Raymond Mans. She was the youngest of three daughters and was blessed with two loving older sisters, Marion Giefer of Nicollet, Minnesota, and Roberta Molitor of Mankato, Minnesota. Following the loss of her father at an early age, Pat was raised by her devoted mother, Helen, on the family farm outside Mankato. The strength, resilience, faith, and work ethic she developed during those years would shape the woman she became and remained evident throughout her life. Pat attended Mankato High School, where she met the love of her life, Paul. High school sweethearts, Pat and Paul shared a beautiful marriage of 54 years built on unwavering love, friendship, faith, and adventure. Pat continued her education at Mankato State University before beginning her career as an Executive Assistant with Fingerhut Corporation, where she worked for much of her married life while raising her family in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In 1999, Pat and Paul moved to Suwanee, Georgia. There, Pat continued her professional career as an Executive Assistant with Alcon until her retirement in 2016. She took pride in her work and was known for her dedication, organization, and ability to support those around her with excellence and grace. Pat was a woman of many interests and talents. She loved golf, tennis, gardening, cooking, and traveling with Paul. Together they created countless memories exploring new places and enjoying life's adventures. She loved trying new recipes and gathering family around the table. Pat also enjoyed shopping, not necessarily because she intended to buy something, but because she loved the thrill of finding the perfect bargain. She could spend hours browsing stores and come home empty-handed, but when she did make a purchase, it was often a thoughtful gift for someone she loved. Few things brought her greater joy than finding the perfect present and seeing the smile it brought to another person's face. Above all else, Pat loved her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Angie Ivey (Wes) of Canton, Georgia, and her son, Scott Bogen (Carly) of Roanoke, Virginia. Her greatest joy, however, was being "Nana" to her three granddaughters: Molly Bogen (13), Carolyn Grace Ivey (11), and Margaret Ann Ivey (8). Nana rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on, whether at volleyball games, softball tournaments, basketball games, dance recitals, school events, or any activity they loved. Her granddaughters knew they had a devoted fan in Nana, and she treasured every moment she spent with them. Pat and Paul were blessed with wonderful neighbors and dear friends in Suwanee who became like family. Their love, support, and friendship over the years meant so much to Pat and brought great joy to her life. Pat will be remembered for her quick wit, gentle sass, generous heart, and playful personality. She was known for her famous expression, "Holy buckets!" and for the knowing winks and eye rolls that could communicate an entire conversation without saying a word. She had a gift for making people laugh, feel welcome, and know they were loved. While her family mourns her loss, they find comfort in knowing that Pat is fully healed and at peace in the presence of Jesus. Her legacy of faith, love, generosity, humor, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her. Pat is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Paul Bogen; her children, Angie Ivey (Wes) and Scott Bogen (Carly); her cherished granddaughters, Molly, Carolyn Grace, and Margaret Ann; her sisters, Marion Giefer and Roberta Molitor; and many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Mans. A Funeral Mass celebrating Pat's life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church in Duluth, Georgia, with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages loved ones to honor Pat's memory by spending time with family, cheering on a grandchild at a game or recital, sharing a home-cooked meal, or performing a simple act of kindness for someone they love.
