Ann Wilson Yancey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ann Wilson Yancey, age 95, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bertha Patillo Wilson; brother, Wesley Wilson. She is survived by her son, Dean Yancey, Buford, GA; nieces, Julie Yarbrough, Loganville, GA, Susan Wilson, Lake Charles, LA, Belinda Saldivar, Texarkana, TX; great-niece, Tanya Womack. Ms. Yancey was born March 10, 1926 in Atlanta, GA. She was a 1944 graduate of high school in Atlanta, GA. She was retired from Sunlife Insurance Company after 38-1/2 years as a supervisor of The Records Department, also known as Coastal States Life Insurance Company. Ms. Yancey was a member of first Baptist Church of Buford and was a former member of Bykota Sunday School Class. She was a charter member of Silvertone Choir. She was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship where she cooked the meals for 20 years and traveling with them. Ms. Yancey enjoyed traveling with People’s Bank Travel Club for a number of years. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, January 19, 2022. Interment Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.
