Bette Screws Legg, age 91, of Loganville, GA formerly of Chamblee, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Elwin L. Legg, grandchildren, Carter Tate Smith, IV, Angela Dawn Johnson. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Laverne Anderson, Loganville, GA, Anita and Michael Martin, Loganville, GA, Carol Ann and Craig LaFluer, Bremen, GA; grandchildren, Michael and Becky Anderson, Greg and Teresa Anderson, Cindy and David Reynolds, Ronald and Kathy Anderson, Amanda and Joe Paul, Christina and Sidney Garrand, Anthony Johnson; four great-grandchildren; fifteen step-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; niece, Valerie and Bill Lowerison. Mrs. Legg was born October 10, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a retired sales clerk from Lord & Taylor Company. She was of the Baptist faith. She did Synchronized swimming with "The Splash Dancers" and a member of "Golden Agers" where they put on plays. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Paul officiating. Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park, Doraville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
