Brenda Gail Smith, age 77, of Jefferson, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lois Mooney; husband, Donald Lamar Smith; brothers, Claude Marion Mooney, Jr., Steve Mooney, John Mooney, Ronald Mooney; sisters, Jeanette Mooney Queen, Mary Mooney Densmore; son-in-law, Cliff Earl. She is survived by her children, Donna Gail (Jim) Braun, Doraville, GA, Janice Earl, Flowery Branch, GA, Tammy Rhea, Forest Park, GA, Teddy Lamar (Danielle) Smith, Chesapeake, VA, Andy (Jackie) Smith, Dacula, GA; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, James David (Dondra) Mooney, Sr., Robert T. (Sandra) Mooney, Richard J. (Julia) Mooney; sisters, Faye Mooney Cochran, Shirley Gaye Mooney. Brenda was born on November 13, 1944 in Buford, GA and retired as a supervisor from McFadden’s Book Bindry after 45 years of service. She enjoyed playing Bingo, having powdered donuts with her grandkids, and Diet Cokes. She was very supportive to her entire family and made sure they were able to come together for every Thanksgiving. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with _______________ officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022 prior to the Service. They will also receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
