Cleo Tatum

May 15, 1930 - February 17, 2022

Mr. Cleo Edward Tatum, age 91, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Tatum; sons, Michael Tatum, Cleo Lamar Tatum, and Bobby Tatum; parents, Hugh and Arvie Tatum; nine brothers, and seven sisters. Mr. Tatum is survived by his wife of 14 years, JoAnn Bailey Tatum of Buford, GA; son, Billy Ray (Sharon) Tatum of Flowery Branch, GA; stepchildren, Beverly (Pat) Case of Gillsville, GA; Kim (Jeff) Phillips of Buford, GA; Beth (Bill) Starkey of Flowery Branch, GA; John (Jennifer) Bailey of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Carla Ann Tatum, Jeremy (Kari) Tatum, Joseph (Christine) Tatum, Chelsea (T.J.) Buck, Sonja Tatum, Kristie (Alan) O’Rouke, and Gregory Tatum; step grandchildren, Courtney (Brady) Bragg, Erykah Case, Peyton (Chris) Bain, Morgan Phillips, Madalyn Starkey, Will Starkey, Hayden Starkey, Grace Bailey, and Audrey Bailey; and sister, Barbara Tatum Kozel of Flowery Branch, GA. Numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Mr. Tatum was born May 15, 1930 in Buford, GA. He was a retired builder and contractor; and he also did maintenance for Buford Church of God, Doraville Church of God campground, Pleasantdale Church of God, and the Church of God Children’s Home in Sevierville, TN. He was a long-time member of Buford Church of God where he was Elder of the church, member of the Prime Timers Senior Group, and member of the Danny Smith Sunday School class. Mr. Tatum also sang in the choir. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022.
