Diane Hubbard Stevens

August 27, 1942 - September 14, 2021

Diane Stevens passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. She was born and raised in Austin, Indiana. She graduated from Milligan College in Tennessee where she met her future husband, Rusty Stevens. After getting married they moved to Dekalb county Georgia where Diane worked as an elementary school teacher for 33 years. After retiring she and Rusty moved to Lake Oconee where they became involved at their local Elks Lodge. Diane even served as state president of the Elkettes in 2011. She loved volunteering at Elks Aidmore and helping out wherever she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Hubbard, and her husband Rusty. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Sally & Marty Elmes of Bowling Green, Ky; her sons and daughters-in-law Rusty & Cheryle Stevens of Lawrenceville, Ga and Rick & Stephanie Stevens of New Zealand; grandchildren Renee (Christopher) Wade, Rebekah (Mike) Richards, Russell Stevens, Frank Stevens, Rhys Stevens, and Savannah Stevens; and six great-grandchildren.
