Gladys Louise Edwards

October 8, 1922 - February 7, 2022

Gladys Louise Edwards of Suwanee, Georgia passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7th, 2022. Just 12 short days after her beloved husband, Robert Edwards, passed away. She was born on October 8th, 1922, to Barney and Minerva Lee. Gladys was the last of her 10 siblings. Gladys was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend. She loved her family fiercely and took pride in her home, not a soul left hungry, cold or without a smile on their face. Most may not consider Gladys to be an openly, nurturing person but every single day she showed her love in so many ways. She fed the birds, the squirrels and every stray animal that stumbled onto her property, she spoke to her friends and family every day, sometimes multiple times a day and poured love into her cooking. She had a lot of pride and knowledge in the little jungle she created on her front and back porch. If you had a dying plant, she could revive it and make it flourish again. It was an honor to be loved by her and to be lucky enough to hear her laugh and glimpse her smile. She was a true lady and would do anything for her family and a Big Mac. Gladys Edwards is survived by daughter, Diane Carder and son-in-law John Carder of Suwanee, Georgia, Son, Raney Palmer of Bethlehem, Georgia, step-daughter Robbie Isaacs and son-in-law Jerry Isaacs of Flowery Branch, Georgia, step-son, David Edwards of Sardis, Georgia, step-son Rex Edwards and daughter-in-law Rhonda Edwards of Buford, Georgia and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, February 11th, 2022 at Old Suwanee Baptist Church, Buford, GA with Rev. Tim Campbell and Rev. Doyle Jackson officiating. Interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA. The Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10th, 2022 at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.
