Harold Edward Deskins

Harold Edward Deskins, age 89, of Buford, GA, formerly of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Iris Crowder Deskins of Buford; daughter, Linda Gayle Vanderwiele (Charles) of Hendersonville, NC; son, Lynn Deskins (Debbie) of Buford; two grandchildren, Bryan and Ashley Deskins of Buford, Bethany and Isaac Phillips of Sugar Hill, GA; two great grandchildren, Averie Deskins and Kinley Phillips; and sister, Dorothy Hufstedler (Russ) of Bristol, VA. Mr. Deskins was born on August 12, 1932 in Dante, VA. He was a 1949 graduate of Dante Central High School. He was retired from Oakwood Market as vice president after forty years of service. Mr. Deskins was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was a life member of Lynn Garden Optimist Club where he served as vice president, and he was a former member of the Tennessee Grocery Association.
