Irma Iris Vega Hernandez, age79, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019. She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Valentin Rivera Rodriquez; children, Valentine Rivera Vega, Hector Rivera Vega and Iris Sorensen; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Luz Nilda Vega Hernandez, Henerlinda Vega Hernandez, Iris Mirta Vega Hernandez, Migdalia Vega Hernandez, Elba Vega Hernandez and Haydee Vega Hernandez; brothers, Alejandro Vega Hernandez and Nestor Vega Hernandez; fourteen nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Vega Hernandez was born May 30, 1939 in Puerto Rico. She was a graduate of Aguadilla High School in Puerto Rico, a graduate of Interamerican University in San German, Puerto Rico and New York University with two Masters Degrees. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stateroom of Flanigan Funeral Home.
