She was a graduate of Athens High School and the University of Georgia, where she majored in music. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity. She met her husband, the Reverend Doctor John Hauser Roark, when she was in high school and he was a student at the University of Georgia. She taught hundreds of piano students for 55 years, retiring only two months ago. She was the quintessential minister's wife, with an incredible gift of hospitality. A consummate cook and hostess, she entertained hundreds of people in her home and provided meals for those in need on a regular basis. With her longtime best friend Jane Rhoden, she catered hundreds of weddings and parties with incredible style and grace. She was a friend to everyone she met, regardless of their background or status. She was known for her love of laughter and good times, and people loved to be in her presence, for she made everyone feel important. Most of all, she loved the Lord and His Church. Her incredible positive influence and encouragement of others will be remembered for years to come. "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." (Proverbs 31:28) Her family would like to thank Dr. Gary Myerson and Dr. Song Na and their offices for the wonderful care they gave her over the years. She is survived by her husband, John H.
