Mr. Willie Jay Bradford, age 78, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Bradford; son, Phillip Jay Bradford; step son Donnie Waters; step daughters, Laurie Sweatman and Marie Waters; father, John W. Bradford; mother, Ethel Maddox Hall; step father, George Hall; step mother, May Gaddis Bradford; and sister, Janice Knight. He is survived by his companion, Jimmie Bennett, Buford, GA; children, Pamela Reed, Flowery Branch, GA and Shane Bradford, Buford, GA; extended family, Angela Bennett; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joann and Harold Brannon, Buford, GA, Etheline "Kim" Powers, Buford, GA, Brenda and Jerry Seabolt, Buford, GA and Renee and James Terry, Buford, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, William Bradford, LaGrange, GA and Ricky and Nena Bradford, Flowery Branch, GA; uncle, Morris Bradford, Cannon, GA; aunts, Tina Bradford Wright, Statham, GA and Doris Bradford, Bethlehem, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Bradford was born August 24, 1940 in Tucker, GA. He received his education from Gwinnett County Public School System and was a retired carpenter. Mr. Bradford was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Buford, GA. Willie enjoyed eating with his friends at Hardee's for breakfast. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
