Carol Marie Schmidt, age 97, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our precious, Carol. She was a loving wife, married 67 faithful years (checking the guiness world records on this one) mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her, (another world record we think.) Carol will be remembered for her warm smile, generous heart, and the way she made every family gathering feel like home... And her sons always knew what she meant by the look in her eyes ..She cherished time spent with her loved ones and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Her wisdom, compassion, love of the sun tan, and love for cooking will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Especially those fortunate enough to have experienced her polish kluskis, kotlets and nutrolls. Carol was the matriarch of her large loving family, who will forever hold her in their hearts.... Just to name a few .. Spouse-Edward Schmidt Sr.(Fast Eddy) Children- Edward Jr., Bruce wife Diane, Drew wife Michelle, Mark, Dave/Wubbie wife Beth, Lori (daughter she always wanted, and got), Eric (the son she wished she had) wife Nancy, Cindy (second daughter) husband Jim the Chef (best ribs in town, iykyk) Grandkids- Vanessa & Kirk Witter, Mia & Tony Caso, Dave & Jules Schmidt, Mark Jr Schmidt, Brandon Schmidt, Heather & Tim Matthews, Tara Schmidt, Justin & Paulina Schmidt, Jenna & Brandon Ison, Ashlyn & Matt Mielke, Caitlyn Schmidt, Kelly Schmidt Great Grandchilden- Nyx, Anthony, Alex, Ashley, Lyla, Cyle, Fenton, Julien, Trey, Evan, Savannah Carol is survived by her youngest brother John Mroczkowski who lovingly took her into his home in North Carolina. There they spent the last few years together enjoying quality time while sharing many laughs everyday with each other and all of Johns loving family members there. Though she is deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing her love and legacy will live on through the many lives she touched. Most of her 97 years were devoted to helping others appreciate the coming of God’s Kingdom and the wonderful benefits it will bring to mankind. She had a deep love for her Creator and a sincere appreciation for the precious truths found in the Bible. She demonstrated that love throughout her life by studying the Scriptures with countless individuals and helping them come to know and love the truths she held so dear. She found great joy in seeing others apply Bible principles in their lives and witnessing the positive changes those truths brought them. Her faith was not simply something she spoke about—it was reflected in the way she lived her life and in her genuine desire to help others draw closer to Jehovah. Her love for God, His Word, and the people around her remained a defining part of who she was throughout her many years. Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed. No Service is planned.
