Cecelia "Cece" Kinder Marsh

Cecelia "Cece" Kinder Marsh, age 58, of Hoschton, GA passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Cece was born September 17, 1959 in Milledgeville, GA. She was a 1977 graduate of North Springs High School. She attended the University of Georgia and received her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She received degrees in Education from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. Cece was an elementary school teacher at Ivy Creek Elementary School in Buford, GA and prior to that taught at Patrick Elementary School in Buford and Walnut Grove Elementary in Suwanee. Cece's Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 11, 2018, 1 pm to 4 pm at Chestnut Mountain Church, 4903 Chestnut Mountain Circle, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. The service will begin at 1 pm followed by a reception. Cece loved the beach, so casual attire is welcomed. Cece was preceded in death by her mother, Vaida Kinder. She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Graham Marsh, Hoschton, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Victoria Marsh, Braselton, GA; grandson, Carter Marsh, Braselton, GA; father, Alan J. Kinder, Gainesville, GA; and sister, Arden Kinder, Savannah, GA. Cece embraced and got the most out of life. As a teacher, she was devoted to helping every student in her classroom thrive. Always busy, she valued close friends, good food, engrossing books, challenging tennis matches, long walks, and hearty laughs. She was an upbeat, fun-loving travel companion who relished time at the beach. Above all, Cece loved her family. She and her husband delighted in the recent experience of becoming "Lolly and Pop" to a precious grandson. Cece was special to all those who had the good fortune to know her. She was known for her kindness, compassion, generosity, energy, and humor. She could always be counted on for no-nonsense advice or a helping hand when it was needed. She cared deeply and genuinely for children and they cherished her attention and playfulness. Cece's loving presence on this earth made it a better place and she will be dearly missed. But the ripples of her life will continue to touch people for a long time to come; through her kind and compassionate son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild; the students on whom she made a lasting impact; and the friends, colleagues, and acquaintances who are better people because they knew her. It was Cece's desire to help those in need, particularly children. In lieu of flowers, her wishes were to collect bookbags and other school supplies for children in need, as well as books for new teachers who are building their classroom libraries. These items may be dropped off at Papa Jack's Restaurant at 2200 Sparta Way, Buford GA.
