In Loving Memory of Jimmy L. Giddens April 1, 1933 – February 4, 2026 Jimmy L. Giddens passed peacefully at his home in Buford, Georgia, surrounded by love. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Jimmy lived a life defined by faith, family, and service to others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Alma Giddens, and his siblings Earl Giddens, Bob Giddens, Hewlett Giddens, Howard Giddens, and Faye Black. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Beth Giddens, with whom he shared 69 wonderful years of marriage; his siblings Jane Troncalli, Jackie Giddens, and Larry Giddens; his son Randy Giddens (wife, Debra); and his daughter Renee Giddens Brown (husband, Mike). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Stephen Giddens (Merrissa), Brandon Brown (Sara), Meagan Jarrell (Zach), and Morgan Johnson (Josh), as well as his treasured great-grandchildren—Logan (Stephen); Claire (Brandon); Emma and Ellie (Meagan); and Kaylee, Kara, Colton, Elijah, and Matthew (Morgan). Originally from Alabama, Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he built a life grounded in faith, family, and simple joys. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Buford, a cherished member of the Silvertones Choir, and a faithful participant in the Upper Room Sunday School class for 25 years. Jimmy deeply loved his family and found joy in fishing, boating, and gardening. Known for his great sense of humor and mischievous spirit, he brought laughter wherever he went and created lasting memories with all who knew him. Above all, Jimmy loved the Lord and lived his life with kindness, gratitude, and quiet strength. His legacy of faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Fountain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12;00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Private (family) Interment with Navy Military Honors will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
