Kayla Cash Hughes (August 10, 1989 – February 24, 2026) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kayla Cash Hughes, age 36, of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Kayla went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A proud graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, Kayla received her Medical Assistant license and possessed a heart without boundaries. She never knew a stranger and had a rare, gentle spirit that made every person feel seen and valued. Her presence quite literally lit up every room she entered. Kayla’s world revolved around her family. She was a fiercely devoted mother to her son, Tyler Hughes, who was her greatest pride and joy; he was her entire world, and she lived for Tyler. She also shared an unbreakable, lively bond with her brother, Joshua Cash; though they spent a lifetime "aggravating" each other, it was always rooted in a deep, lifelong love—she truly loved her brother to no end. Kayla also shared a profound and beautiful bond with her mother, whom she loved very much. While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she is resting in the arms of Jesus until we meet again in heaven.
