Marie Lambert Bolen

In loving memory of Marie Lambert Bolen, of Jefferson, GA who peacefully joined her heavenly Father on July 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on May 25, 1935, in the town of Pineville, West Virginia, she lived a life filled with love, faith, and kindness. Her journey now reunites her with her beloved husband of 70 wonderful years, Elmer A. Bolen, her steadfast partner in life. Together with her mother, Pearl, her father, Edgar, and siblings Beulah, Gladys and Edgar Morrison Lambert, they welcome her with open arms. Marie leaves behind a family who cherished her deeply. Her sons, Norman and his wife, Nancy, and Gregory, along with her daughter, Pamela, and her husband, Larry, Jr., carry forward her memory with love and gratitude. Marie was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Amy Bolen-Beverly(Bryan), Elizabeth Bolen, Larry Christopher, III (Adrianna), Jordan Christopher (Ashley), Sean Bolen, Courtney Bolen, and six great-grandchildren: Shayna Bolen, Simone Beverly, Adalyn Christopher, Lucas Christopher, Harrison Christopher, and Eleana Bolen. Her family brought her immense joy and were the light of her life. Known for her unwavering faith, Marie was a devoted Christian, a comforting friend, and a dedicated “Prayer Warrior.” Her heart was open to everyone, and her presence was a gift to those around her. Marie had a God-given gift for making everyone feel cherished. Her laughter was a source of comfort, and her wisdom, rooted in her faith, was a guiding light. Family and friends were her world. She taught us that love, as Christ loved us, is life’s greatest gift. As a member of the Jackson County Baptist Church in Jefferson, GA, Marie’s kind words and warm spirit were felt by many. Her years of service in the bus ministry at Winters Chapel Church, along with her passion for teaching Sunday School touched countless hearts. In addition to being a dedicated military wife while Elmer served in the Air Force, Marie worked and retired from Sears Roebuck Co., Commercial Division in 1992. She also shared her talents at American General Finance Co. in Lawrenceville, GA, for five years. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, Ga. with Rev. Michael Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 21 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the Service.
