It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael D. Le Frois, a devoted husband, cherished father and grandfather, beloved brother, and loyal friend. Michael passed away peacefully at home in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on June 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his life, his wife Brenda, and his faithful dog Leo, after a long and courageous illness. He was 74 years old. Michael was born on August 9, 1951, in Medina, New York, where he was raised and began a life rooted in family, hard work, and simple joys. He is the son of the late Arlene M. (née Bacon) Le Frois and Robert G. Le Frois, whose values helped shape the kind and steady man so many came to love and respect. Michael shared nearly 28 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Brenda Le Frois. Together, they built a life filled with love, creativity, faith, and enduring partnership. Their bond was evident in everything they did, from daily routines to the hobbies they shared. He is lovingly remembered by his stepchildren: • Gregory Visgar • Jeffrey Visgar, and his wife Coren Visgar • Andrea Russo, and her husband Sam Russo Michael also leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his grandchildren, whom he adored: • Jeremy Visgar • Andrew Visgar and his wife Eryn Visgar • Kaleb Visgar • Marlena Russo • Mason Russo He was a devoted brother to: • Gregory Le Frois and his wife Helen Le Frois • Jeffrey Le Frois and his wife Janice Le Frois • Christopher Le Frois and his partner Sue Duff • David Le Frois and his wife Pamela Le Frois Michael is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and steady presence. Michael attended Tri-State College in Indiana, where he studied Business, preparing for a life defined by dedication and integrity. He spent over 25 years working for Kroger as a Dairy Manager, where he was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and friendly demeanor. He was a proud member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW), valuing the sense of community and pride his work brought him. In his younger years, Michael had a passion for music and could often be found playing the bass guitar with his band and friends, filling venues with laughter and rhythm. Throughout his life, he found joy in gardening, nurturing both plants and relationships with care and patience. He and Brenda also shared a deep love for quilting, creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces that became treasured gifts for family and friends, each quilt a reflection of their shared love and creativity. Michael was also a man of faith and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found community, purpose, and peace. His love of cooking was well known, and he took great pride in being a two-time winner of the annual chili cook-off, delighting everyone lucky enough to share a meal with him. Michael was also an avid sports fan, rarely missing a game on television. He especially loved following Atlanta Braves baseball, Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers football, and Georgia Bulldogs sports, cheering passionately for his teams and sharing that excitement with family and friends. Michael’s life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering love, and the beauty of simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
