Pamela Gail Anthony Kersey

Gail was born July 9, 1952 in Maryville, TN just turned 73,was proud to be family to the Anthonys and Olivers of Cades Cove. She adored her ancestors - and equally cherished her distant and immediate family. Family roots meant everything to her, and she carried her heritage with deep pride and love. She spent a few years living in West Palm Beach, Florida, loving the sandy beaches, working on her tan, and beginning her career with Publix. Later, she settled in the CSRA, where she spent the majority of her life. Gail was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. There was nothing she enjoyed more than being outdoors and fishing. She instilled in her children that same love - just as much as their momma. Gail was sweet, accepting, and had a forgiving soul. She was always there to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or even make up the sofa for a bed if someone needed a place to stay. Family and friends were what mattered most to her. Above all, Gail loved the Lord. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she carried it with grace, strength, and confidence. It showed in her kindness, her patience, and her unwavering compassion toward others. Everyone spoke of how thoughtful, kind, and humorous she was. The world is a darker place without her shining light and bright smile. Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Bearden; stepfather, Colvin Bearden; father, James Anthony; twin brother, Gary Anthony; brother, Alan Anthony; and former husband; Nathan Kersey. She is survived by her three sons: Nathan Dee and his wife Kathy Kersey Joseph Ray Kersey Kristopher Paul Kersey. Grandchildren: Stephen Dee Davis, Abagail Kersey, Karlee Kersey, Brooklynn Kersey, Katelynn Kersey, Ashley Chase, and Joseph Ray Kersey Jr Step-grandson: Tyler Rube Great-grand children: Stephen Davis Jr., Kylie Davis, Makenna Ritchie, and Jovanny Rube. Siblings: Debbie Prince Sharon and husband Kris Norris Brothers Randy Anthony and John Anthony She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gail enjoyed a lifetime of memories, especially being best of friends with Nancy Reynolds. They have shared many cherished moments and laughter throughout the years - two peas in a pod.
