Rudy Blake Frazier

Rudy Blake Frazier, age 76, of Milton, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by his father and mother, AB Frazier and Eunice Joyner Frazier. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Linda Samford Frazier; daughter, Kelli Daye Hardy and husband, A J Hardy of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Alex Blake and Brooke Hardy of Cumming, GA and Jessica Daye Hardy of Flowery Branch, GA; great-grandchildren, Gia Mae Fehrenbach, Weston Blake Hardy, and Wyatt James Hardy; sister, Debi (Rick) Davenport of Nashville, NC; sister-in-law, Betty (Jim) Fair of Conroe, TX; brother-in-law, John (Cindy) Samford of Quincy, FL and Billy (Sharlene) Samford of Tallahassee, FL; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rudy and I were married over 50 years so I can only tell you what I know about this amazing man, and that's just about anything. His given name is Rudy Blake Frazier and Rudy was born in Nashville, NC on January 5, 1950. He was born at home on a four-poster bed, and he slept on that bed all of his growing years, and then Kelli slept on that bed all her growing years. We still have that four-poster bed. Everyone who knew Rudy for the first 29 years of his life called him Rudy. He graduated from Florida A&M University with a degree in Architecture and started working. Around this time, he decided to use his middle name, Blake, because he thought it sounded more professional. So, if you know him as Blake, now you know why. Rudy loved his daughter, Kelli, more than he thought she knew. He forgot what it was like being a teenager and worried about her so much. Or he "remembered" what it was like being a teenager and that’s why he worried about her so much. Rudy was excited to gain an instant grandchild, Corey, when Kelli married AJ. It was amazing to watch Rudy and Corey together. Rudy was truly happy to have a grandchild around. After Kelli and AJ had "Rudy's" other grandchildren that‘s when he showed more of his softer side. Rudy couldn't believe he was a grandfather to these wonderful children; Corey, Alex and Jessi. As a member of Tallahassee Baptist Church, Rudy gave his life to Christ and served as a deacon. Rudy's career changed over the years, which allowed us to travel to several wonderful countries, which he loved. He was an avid IndyCar fan and enjoyed Nascar as well. His collection of muscle cars and motorcycles gave us years of enjoyment on the open road. While he lived in Denver, we enjoyed the winter activities. And in the summer, we all loved our houseboat and it gave us great memories with Kelli, AJ, and the grandchildren. After high school Rudy joined the Air Force and spent a few years in the Vietnam War. As time and years went on, Rudy was diagnosed with Leukemia due to different chemical exposures while in the Vietnam War. A stem cell transplant was the only option for Rudy if he wanted to enjoy his great-grandchildren; Gia Mae Fehrenbach (Corey’s daughter) and Weston Blake Hardy (Alex & Brooke’s son). Thank the Lord Debi, Rudy's sister, was a perfect match as a donor. Rudy lived over six more years after that transplant and was able to enjoy Alex and Brooke’s second child, a third great-grandchild, Wyatt James Hardy. As Rudy was getting sicker, he loved watching Jessi and Skyler begin their life together. Rudy told me he will be with all of us and his "Little Doodle” on her wedding day. Knowing Rudy, I don't doubt that at all. Rudy passed away at our home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 12:30pm. We sat together holding hands; we were looking at each other as the Lord took my Rudy to his forever home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be at 2:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
