Susan Kim Forrester

Susan Kim Forrester (Ramsey), 69, passed away peacefully on the morning of the 27th day of July, 2026 in Buford, Georgia. She was born on April 5, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia. Kim lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family. To know her is to love her - she never met a stranger or burned a bridge. She would do for others before she would do for herself. Kim leaves a hole in the hearts of those she loved and those that love her. She will be deeply missed and her memory will not soon be forgotten. Kim was the beloved daughter of the late Ray Ramsey and Dixie Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her father in June 1987 and her mother in March 2004. She is survived by her son, Jeffery A. Forrester II (Olivia); her daughter, Ashley Forrester-Wilson (Michael); and her cherished grandson, Lincoln Grey Forrester. Kim also leaves behind her sister, Brenda Ramsey Lawson; her nieces, Jennifer Benca (Robert) and Christina Lawson Ryan (Noah); as well as six great-nephews, three great-nieces, and one great-great nephew. Kim leaves behind a large group of family, her mother-in-law Barbara Forrester and family, and friends from all walks of life that each holds a special place in her heart. Throughout her life, Kim found joy in needlework and knitting - hobbies that reflected her patience and creativity. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends - Crazy Canasta and Poker. She also nurtured a deep spiritual connection through scripture reading and watching church services from the comfort of her home. Over the years, she attended several churches but found solace in quiet moments of faith. Until her final days she remained faithful and had no question that she would soon be dancing at the feet of Jesus. Her faith remained strong even on days that seemed dark to everyone else - she had a light that reminded us of God’s love and promises. Kim’s greatest passion was her family. She loved them dearly and always put them first. Her unwavering dedication to those she held close was a testament to the depth of her heart. She lived each day fully and without regret - a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm on August 15th at 12Stone at Hamilton Mill (3858 Braselton Hwy, Buford, GA 30519). A memorial service will follow visitation at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Kim requested donations be made to the college fund of Lincoln Grey Forrester, and any other children born to Jeffery or Ashley, through a Georgia Path to College 529 plan.
