Virginia "Ginny" Tucker

Virginia "Ginny" Tucker, age 70, of Gainesville, GA died of cancer on Monday, July 21, 2014. Virginia was born October 31, 1943 in Atlanta, GA and always lived in the surrounding areas. She worked for OFS, formerly known as AT&T, for seventeen years and left due to downsizing/closing. The last three years before her mother's homegoing, Ginny helped assist with her caregiving. Ginny is a member of Free Chapel Church in Gainesville, GA. She was currently a volunteer with the Convalescent Care Ministry and Kingdom Connection Prayer Line Ministry. Her confession of faith is: At the age of 10 years old I asked Jesus to come into my heart and forgive me of my sins and to be my Lord and Savior. My name is written in the Book of Life and when the trumpet sounds I will rise to meet Jesus in the air. I fully expect to see all my family and loved ones there! Ms. Tucker was preceded in death by: Husband Jim Tucker, Parents Henry and Jeanette Potts, Brother Grady Potts, and Baby Brother Jerry Gene Potts. Ms. Tucker is survived by her Sons Larry Moss of Gainesville, GA and John Moss of Grand Junction, CO; Daughter Sharon Simpson of Gainesville GA; Grandchildren Tasha Greer of Barnesville, GA, Tiffany Simpson of Monroe, GA, Johnny and Vanessa Moss of Grand Junction, CO; Great Grandchildren Dakota and Dixie Greer, Wyatt Hudson, Christian and Misty; Brother Robert Potts and wife Judy of Lane O'Lakes, FL; Sisters Joyce Adams of Concord, GA, and Nancy Whitehead of Douglasville, GA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services for Ms. Tucker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in the Free Chapel Worship Center with Pastor Jentezen Franklin and Pastor Katie Lancaster officiating. Her remains will be placed in state at Free Chapel on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Virginia Tucker.
